This sequel promises more in the epic battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons. Shia LaBeouf's character Sam Witwicky is rumored to be a college student this time around.
Based on Hasbro's line of giant robots that morph into cars, trucks, planes, ships and other technological creations. Michael Bay desired to give "Transformers 2" a bigger budget for a global scale and better characterization for a larger cast of robots. Production on "Transformers 2" is in its early stages in Bethlehem, PA (06/01/08).
