Transformers 2 Trailer Release Details

We have a timeline for the first Transformers 2 trailer. Earlier today over on DonMurphy.net, screenwriter Roberto Orci revealed that they’re shooting to have the movie’s first teaser trailer ready this year, maybe within a few months. When asked when we’ll get the first teaser he said, “Probably in fall -- maybe late summer...”

That makes sense. They’ll have had several months worth of production by then, and that should give them more than enough to use for a simple, short teaser trailer.

Regarding the film itself, Orci drops a few details on what we may see in it. One of the big things about the Transformers that hasn’t shown up in the movies yet is the ability of some Transformers to turn not into vehicles, but weapons. Megatron for instance, transforms into a hand gun which is then fired by other robots, in the original cartoon. Well Orci claims that will make it into the sequel. Not Megatron specifically, but when asked if there will be Transformers which turn into weapons, he responds with an emphatic “yes!”

And as long as we’re talking Transformers, set pics have been popping up all over the internet for weeks now. Most of them have just been of the cars, but over at Transformers MovieChronicles they have photos showing off the much lusted after Megan Fox, sitting on a new character’s lap inside Bumblebee.
